Am I a Good Candidate?

Women who are self-conscious of their vaginal region and/or regularly suffer from discomfort and irritation caused with clothes, exercise, and or sex, may be excellent candidates for a labiaplasty. We ask that all of our Austin area cosmetic surgery patients be in overall good health, non-smoking, and have reasonable expectations.

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure performed to improve the appearance of the labia minora (inner labia) and the labia majora (outer labia), which are the corresponding folds of skin surrounding the vulva.

A labiaplasty surgery may also result in increased comfort during physical activity and sexual intercourse. Commonly, our Austin labiaplasty patients have an improvement in their quality of life and elevation of their self-confidence.

The Operation

Labiaplasty typically takes from 1-2 hours and can be performed as an outpatient procedure in our office with IV and local anaesthesia. Excess skin and tissue are either removed entirely or refined to create more aesthetically pleasing labia and help to correct the different ailments mentioned above.

Our Austin area labiaplasty patients can expect some soreness and swelling for 1-2 weeks after surgery. Usually, patients are able to return to work in three to five days, depending on the nature of their job. Sexual activity and exercise can typically resume regularly after 1 month.

Request a consultation today with Dr. John McFate to discuss if a labiaplasty is the right procedure to help you meet your goals. Wherever you are in life, Precision Plastic Surgery can help you look your best.
